At just 21 years old, Nana Danquah Adjei Domson from Breman Asikuma has achieved what many only dream of — being called to the Ghana Bar. The young legal prodigy has become a national inspiration, making history as the youngest person ever to become a lawyer in Ghana.

From a Small Town to National Recognition

Born on April 12, 2004, in Breman Asikuma in Ghana’s Central Region, Nana Danquah’s journey is a remarkable story of discipline, intelligence, and focus. What started as a humble beginning in a small town has now turned into a story that is motivating thousands of Ghanaian youth to believe in their dreams.

He began his education at Breman Asikuma Colonel Baidoo Basic School, where he completed his basic education at the young age of 12, years ahead of most of his peers.

A Journey Marked by Excellence

After his basic education, he continued to Breman Asikuma Senior High School, later transferring to Life International College in Tema, where he completed secondary school at just 15 years old — a clear sign of his academic brilliance.

In 2019, while many of his age mates were still in high school, Nana Danquah gained admission into the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Faculty of Law. There, he quickly became known for his outstanding academic performance and unmatched dedication.

Graduating With First Class Honours

After four years of hard work, he graduated in 2023 with First Class Honours, a major achievement that set him apart as one of UCC’s brightest law graduates.

His determination did not stop there. Nana Danquah was admitted into the Ghana School of Law at Makola, where he underwent two years of intensive training in legal practice, ethics, and advocacy — mastering the art of the legal profession.

Called to the Bar at Age 21

On October 10, 2025, history was made. At just 21 years old, Nana Danquah Adjei Domson was officially called to the Ghana Bar, becoming the youngest person in Ghana’s history to achieve this feat.

This achievement breaks the previous record set by Akpene Darko Cobbina in 2019 at age 22. Before that, Sarah Adwoa Safo held the record, being called to the Bar at 22 years and 280 days in 2004.

Now, Nana Danquah has raised the bar even higher — literally and figuratively.

A New Inspiration for Ghana’s Youth

Nana Danquah’s story is not just about becoming a lawyer at 21. It’s a message to every young person in Ghana and across Africa that age is no barrier to success when you combine talent with discipline and determination.

From Breman Asikuma to the Ghana Bar, his journey is proof that greatness can come from anywhere — and that dreams backed by hard work can truly change lives.
