The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nkoranza North, Hon. Effah Patrick, has called stakeholders meeting to discuss the 2026 medium-term development plan in the district.

The purpose, according to the DCE, is to engage with various groups, such as community leaders, organizations, and residents, to assess progress, gather input, and refine the plan to ensure it reflects the community's needs and aspirations for sustainable development.

Collective effort is key to Nkoranza North's development because the district aims for socio-economic progress through active citizen involvement, in decision-making and the implementation of government policies. This approach focuses on developing human resources, enhancing good governance, and creating a conducive environment for growth, with an emphasis on healthcare, roads, clean water and education. Nkoranza North District Chief Executive have to work to achieve these goals by coordinating various agencies and involving the community in the developmental process.

In an interview with Apiah-Kubi on Fabea FM, Hon. Effah Patrick disclosed that the previous government's effort on the district's development plan failed to meet its target.

Hon. Effah Patrick stated that the engagements form part of the District Assembly's mandate to its citizens.

He emphasized the importance of the engagement for the district, especially with the previous government's medium-term ending in December 2025.

Past and present leaders have repeatedly called for a collaborative approach, emphasizing the need for traditional rulers, assembly members, and the community to work together to initiate practical development programs.

The vision for the district is to enhance human capacity through Local Economic Development and provide basic social and infrastructural amenities through well-coordinated, collective action.

This emphasis on collective effort is intended to create an environment that is conducive to development and good governance.

The community's needs were outlined as follows: town roads, water extension, healthcare, education, improving livelihoods, and security.

Development  Programs like the Community Action for Poverty (CAP) initiative bring together communities and organizations to develop a common vision and implement projects like building local clinics and community centers.

The Nkoranza North District Assembly works to improve infrastructure like roads through collaboration with government bodies.

Challenges and

 ongoing efforts

despite these collective efforts, challenges remain, particularly in areas like roads, healthcare, and water.

The District Assembly's goals include developing the human resource base, enhancing good governance, and creating a conducive environment for local economic development.

He stressed that accelerating the district's development agenda would depend on the collective contributions of all residents.

"The previous government failed to distribute the requisite common fund to the assembly for its intended purposes," he noted.

Hon. Effah Patrick expressed that His Excellency John Dramani Mahama is determined to reset and develop the country, and the Nkoranza North district will not be left out.

After the meeting, Free sanitary pads and other clean items were distributed by Hon Effah Patrick, in collaboration with Nkoranza North District Assembly environmental department and District Education Services to schools in Busunya and Kranka circuit in the district.
