Irene Naa Toshie, a prominent figure in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has denied allegations made against her by the Ashanti Regional Chairman, stating that she never made any derogatory comments about Ashanti's and Greater Accra residents regarding voting.

In a statement, Naa Toshie emphasized that she has always been a unifying force within the party and has never engaged in divisive rhetoric. Her reputation as a consensus-builder and leader has been acknowledged by her peers and party supporters alike

The controversy centers on speculation about her potential selection as the running mate for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections. Some have seen her as a strong contender due to her experience as a lawyer, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and former Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency.

Naa Toshie has called on the Ashanti Regional Chairman to retract the allegations, emphasizing her commitment to party unity and her desire to focus on the upcoming elections. Her supporters see her as a valuable asset to the party, capable of bridging divides and driving development.

Moreover, rumor's came that, Naa Torshie said Ashanti do not know how to speak good English. She has denied the allegations about her too, in a video today.

The incident highlights the intense political dynamics at play within the NPP as the party prepares for the elections. With various factions vying for influence, Naa Toshie's denial and call for withdrawal of allegations serve as a reminder of the importance of unity and reconciliation within the party.

As the situation unfolds, all eyes will be on the Ashanti Regional Chairman's response and the potential impact on the party's internal dynamics. "Vote For Ken" as she said.

Naa Toshie still stated in her statement that she still stands by Kennedy Agyapong and no longer works for Dr. Bawumia.
