Goalie Benjamin Asare will be sidelined for about two weeks due to injury, which is a blow to Hearts of Oak.
Asare is not anticipated to play in Sunday's Premier League match against Nations FC because he has already missed the team's last three games.
The Phobians, who have only won one of their previous four games and were eliminated from the FA Cup at the round of 32 stage by third-tier team True Life FC, have been struggling since his absence.
The goalie missed the game against the Swedru All Blacks because he was overseas on international duties earlier this month. However, the setback has prevented him from regaining his spot since his comeback, and he has missed additional games against Young Apostles, Vision FC, and Karela United.
His successor is Solomon Agbasi, who will probably stay in goal until the number one is well once more. In an effort to stabilize their campaign, Hearts will be hoping that Asare returns within the anticipated period.
Asare is still a key component of the team's defensive strategy and has made eight league appearances this season, maintaining five clean sheets.

Henry Asante Twum: The Black Stars will play a highly regarded European team in a friendly next year.
The Black Stars will participate in a high-profile friendly next year as part of their preparation for the 2026 World Cup, according to confirmation from the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Following the release of Ghana's World Cup group stage opponents on Friday, December 5, Communications Director Henry Asante Twum disclosed the plans.
The Black Stars will be in Group L with England, Panama, and Croatia in the 2026 competition, which is co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
According to Asante Twum, the friendly will take place against a well-known European team.
"It is probably going to be quite European-friendly. He told TV3, "We have to look at all the possibilities and determine which one will be beneficial to us before we go for it.
Even before the draw, we had some requests from some of the big houses, even before we play against South Korea and Japan. We had some European teams writing to us to check if indeed we will be in a good place to play."
Ghana's World Cup campaign will begin on June 17 in Toronto against Panama, play England on June 23 in Boston, and wrap up the group stage on June 27 in Philadelphia against Croatia, the 2018 finalists.
The Black Stars will be keen to advance in North America after losing at the group stage in Qatar four years ago.
