The Champions League Team of the Week includes Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu, who is currently playing well.

After Monaco's close victory over Galatasaray at home, Ghanaian international Mohammed Salisu was chosen in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Week.

In the sixth week of the Champions League campaign, which took place at the Stade Louis-II on Tuesday, the Black Stars defender shone as the French Ligue 1 powerhouses defeated Galatasaray 1-0.

The USA international Folarin Balogun's goal in the 68th minute was sufficient to give the Principality team the most points possible at home.

Victor Osimhen of Nigeria was unable to score in the crucial match due to the rock-solid defender's outstanding performance at Monaco's defense.

His outstanding performance earned him a spot on the Team of the Week. His rating of 7.5 indicated how important he was to the game.

After battling for playing time under Adi Hutter the previous season, the former Southampton star has established himself as a regular for Monaco.

Out of six Champions League games this season, the 26-year-old Ghanaian center back has made five appearances. Salisu has made 15 appearances in all competitions and scored one goal throughout that time.
