Samuel Tenedu, a midfielder for Asante Kotoko, lost his older brother in a brutal robbery at his Obuasi Asonkore home.
Danso was the victim of a late-night attack after said armed robbers broke into the home.
Only five days prior, according to family sources, Danso had traveled from overseas to Ghana for a brief vacation.
This Sunday, December 14, 2025, is his intended return overseas, according to his wife.
The tragedy has caused shock and sadness among Ghana Premier League supporters as well as the Obuasi Asonkore community.
The victim's wife claims that during the invasion, the attackers threatened her and demanded money.
"I showed them where the money was because the armed robbers threatened to kill me if I didn't. She said, "They instructed me not to shout and tied my mouth."
He did not have any trouble with them. They hit my husband in the head once they opened the door, she continued.
She said, "Danso had arrived for the holidays, and he was even telling me he would leave on Sunday."
Following the incident, Asante Kotoko gave Samuel Tenedu permission to leave the camp and grieve with his family.

Following the announcement of group-stage prices, Ghanaian supporters look forward to FIFA's new $60 ticket tier.
Following the announcement of Ghana's group-stage match ticket pricing, FIFA's new USD 60 Supporter Entry Tier has given Ghanaian supporters who want to watch the Black Stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup new hope.
Standard tickets for Ghana's games are still pricey, according to the stated prices. The cheapest Category Three ticket for the opening Group L encounter against Panama on June 17 is USD 140, while higher category tickets cost USD 380 and USD 450.
Ghana's last group encounter against Croatia on June 27 starts at USD 180, while the second group match against England on June 23 is even more expensive, with the cheapest ticket starting at USD 220.
Even before taking into consideration travel, lodging, and transportation between host cities in North America, many Ghanaian supporters would find it financially difficult to attend all three group matches under the regular pricing system. The numbers have reaffirmed worries that a sizable portion of the fan population may not be able to attend the tournament.
A potential remedy is provided by FIFA's recently introduced Supporter Entry Tier, which is only accessible to supporters of eligible countries and issued through Participating Member Associations. The tier, which costs USD 60 every game, aims to increase affordability and reward devoted fans.
The way the Ghana Football Association distributes and oversees the tickets will have a significant impact on Ghanaian supporters. If the plan is successfully carried out, more fans may be able to watch the Black Stars play on the biggest football platform against Panama, England, and Croatia.
