After Hearts of Oak defeated Nations FC 1-0 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, coach Didi Dramani has asked for consistency.

After shifting from the Accra Sports Stadium to Legon, the Phobians continued their momentum with a vital goal from Hamza Issah in the 69th minute to secure the victory.

With this outcome, Hearts of Oak has won two straight games at home since moving, moving up to fourth place in the Ghana Premier League with 24 points.



In a competitive league, Dramani stressed the value of consistent performance.

"I believe that it is an open league that requires consistency, introspection, and maintaining proper procedures. We are still working to improve," he stated.

"We have not arrived yet. Dramani clarified, "We still have a lot to do in terms of complementing what we have."

The triumph gives Hearts of Oak a chance to gain momentum as they strive to hold a commanding lead in the league rankings and contend for the championship.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has a significant chance to improve player welfare, increase technical preparation, and strengthen national team logistics ahead of the tournament thanks to the guaranteed USD 10.5 million.

More significantly, the monies provide space for long-term investment, especially in infrastructure, grassroots football, and youth development—areas essential to maintaining Ghana's competitiveness on the international scene.


As you advance, the prize money will rise dramatically. Teams who advance to the round of 16 will receive USD 15 million, those that make it to the quarterfinals will receive USD 19 million, and the winners will receive USD 50 million.

FIFA's increased financial commitment guarantees that qualification offers not only pride and prominence but also significant resources capable of influencing Ghanaian football's future as the country gets ready to return to the largest football stage in the world.
