Asante Kotoko has been officially charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee in response to incidents involving its supporters.

The Committee claims that following the club's 2025–2026 Ghana Premier League match against Dreams FC, supporters harassed, threatened, and tried to attack match officials.

According to the GFA's 2019 Disciplinary Code, such behavior is a violation of Article 16(2)(h).

Asante Kotoko has until Friday, December 19, 2025, to address the allegations.

Aduana FC would lose the top rank if the Yellow and Mauves prevailed in the outstanding encounter.

Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak now hold third and fourth place in the league standings, respectively, with 24 points.

Dreams FC, Bechem United, and Eleven Wonders are in the relegation zone at the bottom of the league log due to their ongoing difficulties in the division.

Due to an ankle setback, Jeremy Doku, a Belgian international of Ghanaian heritage, will not play until next year.

Doku, who has been playing quite well for Manchester City this season, was absent from the team's Premier League match against Crystal Palace over the weekend.

The adventurous winger will not be available for the EFL Cup quarterfinal match against Brentford on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, according to boss Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola claims that Doku would not play for the Citizens again this year. He is anticipated to make a comeback in January when the team plays Sunderland in the Premier League.

"Jeremy Doku will return." Guardiola stated, "I do not know when he will return, maybe around the New Year, maybe Sunderland, for sure."

The Premier League anticipates that his absence will have an impact as they prepare for a busy December schedule.
