Didi Dramani, the head coach of Hearts of Oak, thought his team did enough to earn maximum points after a goalless draw with Aduana FC in Sunday's Ghana Premier League match.

The game at Dormaa Ahenkro pitted two teams separated by three points before kickoff, and the thin margin was evident in a closely contested match.

Hearts displayed more effort for long stretches, commanding the tempo and spending extensive periods in Aduana territory, but lacked the finishing touch to convert dominance into goals.

Aduana, disciplined and compact, relied on defensive organization to counter the Phobians' pressure and maintain their league-leading position.

Speaking after the game, Dramani felt the balance of play favored his side.

"It is a challenging surface, but we came here to compete for three points." "I believe we deserved all three points, not just one," he remarked.

The Hearts coach praised his team's tactical execution, saying, "I believe we controlled their transitions and maintained our game, our identity, in terms of positional play and our ability to press by not allowing them to play from the back."

Despite dropping points at home, Aduana remains at the top of the standings with 28 points, despite having played two more matches than nearest rival Medeama SC.

Hearts of Oak, meanwhile, temporarily rise to fourth place with 25 points, keeping the pressure on the teams ahead of them as the title battle tightens.

Early goals indicate another high-scoring AFCON, as Morocco 2025 averages two goals.

The early signs at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations point to another high-scoring tournament, with the first four games averaging two goals each.

Morocco opened the competition with a 2-0 victory over the Comoros, followed by a 1-1 tie between Mali and Zambia. South Africa overcame Angola 2-1 in Marrakech, and Egypt upset Zimbabwe 2-1 thanks to a late Mohamed Salah strike. Four matches have resulted in eight goals.

That return compares favorably to the previous tournament. AFCON 2023 in the Ivory Coast produced a record 119 goals, the greatest number in the competition's history, at an average of 2.29 goals per game.

Although the tournament is still in its early stages, the current scoring rate indicates that goals will once again be a distinguishing aspect of AFCON. With several attacking teams yet to begin their campaigns, there is hope that the 2025 edition in Morocco would retain, if not exceed, the benchmark set in the Ivory Coast two years ago.
