The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the broadcast selections for Premier League Matchday 17, with two games set to air live across several platforms in early January 2026.

According to the GFA, the league's official broadcast partners, TV3 and Onua TV, will show the chosen matches live. Fans will also be able to stream the games through the Adesa+ platform.

On Friday, January 2, Hohoe United FC will meet Heart of Lions at Hohoe Stadium in the inaugural televised match. The kickoff time is 15:30.

Medeama SC will host Hearts of Oak at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa in the second live match on Sunday, January 3. That encounter will also begin at 15:30.

The broadcast arrangements are anticipated to provide fans with greater access to major matches as the league enters a critical point of the season.

Otto Addo will succeed with Black Stars - Laryea Kingston at the 2026 World Cup.

Former Ghana international Laryea Kingston believes Otto Addo can lead the team to glory ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

After failing to steer the Black Stars to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Addo oversaw Ghana's qualification for the Munial, which will be held next summer in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Following ten games in the qualifying series, the Black Stars finished first in their group with 25 points.

Despite calls for Otto Addo's removal before the competition, Kingston believes the 50-year-old is capable of leading the team to glory.

However, the former Black Starlets coach warned Addo to ensure that the team's performance was consistent.

"Otto Addo has what it takes to lead any squad with his current experience," Kingston told SuperSport Blitz.

"He was at FC Nordsjaelland before moving to Borussia Dortmund, a team similar to Nordsjaelland, so I feel that in the long run, he will be a success for the national team, but there must be consistency," he said.

The Black Stars will play Panama on June 17 in Toronto, England on June 23 in Boston, and Croatia on June 27 in Philadelphia.

Following early exits in the 2014 and 2022 World Cups, Ghana will be hoping for a better showing in the bigger 2026 edition.

Meanwhile, Otto Addo is likely to announce his final roster for the competition on June 1.
