Apostle Anthony K. Manu, founder and leader of the Church of Divine Heart in Nkoranza, Bono East Region, has emphasized the significance of celebrating Easter. Easter is a time for forgiveness with renewed hope.
However, the man of God stated that as Christians are prepared to commemorate Jesus Christ's death and resurrection, Apostle Manu, also known as Sofo Alhassan or Spiritual CID, urges believers to reflect on the true meaning of the occasion.
"Man sinned and needed an intervention," he said in an exclusive interview with Fabea FM's Apiah-Kubi.
"Jesus, the son of God, replaced himself with the symbolic animals that were presented as sacrifices to cleanse our sins. We need to glorify this intervention." Apostle Manu stressed.
Meanwhile the Apostle noted that Christ's death symbolizes God's forgiveness of our sins, and believers should strive to depict this forgiven status in their lives. This is something Christians must practice and walk in the righteous way as Jesus did.
He quoted Colossians 3:12, encouraging Christians to take part in remembrance and forgive others as they've been forgiven.
The gathering during Easter is an opportunity for Christians to commemorate Christ's death and resurrection, and Apostle Manu urged believers to use this period to reflect on their lives, seek forgiveness, and renew their commitment to God.
"As we celebrate Easter, let's not just stop at the resurrection story, but also reflect on the sacrifice that made it possible," he added.
Apostle Manu emphasized the importance of unity and love among Christians, saying it's a key aspect of truly honoring Christ's sacrifice. It's time for Christians to spread love during and after Easter.
He encouraged believers to show gratitude for God's love and mercy, and to extend forgiveness to others just as Christ forgave humanity.
"Let's use this Easter to recommit ourselves to God and to each other," he said.
The Spiritual CID's message was clear: Jesus' sacrifice is a demonstration of God's love, and believers should strive to live out this love in their daily lives. God has shown us the way but it's left with the Christian faith to put God's word ito practice.
The Church of Divine Heart held a special Easter service, and Apostle Manu invited all Christians to join in the celebrations.
As the faithfuls marking the significant occasion, Apostle Manu's words serve as a reminder of the true meaning of Easter. Let us not take Easter for granted.
