Educational Background


Awini Abdulai Akologo began his educational journey at Benguri Primary School, where he developed the foundational values of discipline, hard work, and excellence. He proceeded to El-Shaddai Educational Centre, Bawku, where he successfully completed his Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).


His pursuit of quality education continued at the prestigious Notre Dame Boys’ Minor Seminary, Navrongo, where he obtained his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). During his secondary education, Akologo distinguished himself not only academically but also through active participation in student leadership and organizational activities.


Driven by his passion for teaching and national development, he enrolled at Gbewaa College of Education, Pusiga, where he earned a Diploma in Basic Education. His desire for continuous growth and professional advancement led him to further his studies at the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale, where he obtained a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).


His educational journey reflects a firm belief that knowledge remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives and communities.


Leadership and Student Activism



Leadership has always been a defining characteristic of Awini Abdulai Akologo. Even as a student, he exhibited remarkable organizational skills and a commitment to representing the interests of his colleagues.


Between 2012 and 2013, he served as the Organizer for the Bawku Students Union at Notre Dame Boys’ Minor Seminary, where he played an instrumental role in promoting unity, cooperation, and student welfare.


His leadership potential became even more evident during his time at Gbewaa College of Education, where he was elected SRC Organizer from 2015 to 2016. In this role, he championed student concerns, coordinated activities, and contributed significantly to strengthening student participation and engagement.


Recognizing his competence and dedication, teacher trainees across the Northern Sector entrusted him with greater responsibilities within the Association of Teacher Trainees in Colleges of Education (ATTRICONS). He served as Organizer from 2016 to 2017 and later as Administrator from 2017 to 2018, helping to coordinate activities, advocate for trainee teachers, and promote collaboration among colleges of education in Northern Ghana.


These leadership experiences equipped him with valuable skills in organization, communication, teamwork, and strategic planning—qualities that continue to define his leadership style today.


Professional and Educational Leadership


As an educator, Akologo has consistently demonstrated excellence and commitment to improving educational outcomes. His passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom, as he continuously seeks opportunities to support both students and fellow educators.


From 2019 to 2021, he served as the Science and Mathematics Quiz Organizer for the Bawku Municipal, where he helped promote academic excellence and healthy competition among schools. His efforts contributed significantly to encouraging students to develop greater interest in science and mathematics education.


His dedication and professionalism earned him the position of Assistant Headteacher from 2022 to 2024, where he provided administrative support, supervised academic activities, and contributed to effective school management. His leadership in education has impacted countless students and inspired many young people to pursue academic success.


In addition, he currently serves as the Deputy Organizer of the Gbewaa College Old Students Association (GCOSA), a role he has held since 2021. Through this position, he continues to strengthen alumni relations and support initiatives aimed at advancing the welfare of former students and educational development.


Political and Public Service Engagement


Awini Abdulai Akologo is a committed member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and has actively contributed to the growth and success of the party at the constituency level.


Since 2018, he has served as a member of the NPP Communication Team in the Binduri Constituency, where he has worked tirelessly to communicate the party's vision, engage grassroots members, and promote unity within the party.


His dedication to party work also saw him serving as a member of the campaign teams for the 2020 and 2024 General Elections. During these periods, he worked diligently with other party stakeholders to mobilize supporters, educate voters, and advance the party's electoral objectives.
