GARRI AND RICE

Good morning, fellow distinguished guests and my fellow students. I stand before you and boldly support the motion that gari is better than rice 🙆

Before I start, let me ask a simple question. If rice is truly better, why do people shout garri has finish 🤷‍♂️

When people are low, garri rules the world. And first of all, garri is the true friend of every Nigerian.

When there is no light, there's no gas, and no money, garri will be there but rice cannot always be there until somebody cook it. 

Also rice cannot stand beside garri. When hunger att@cks like a thief, rice will say wait for me let me boil, garri will say bring cup and water, let's settle this.

Esau that sold his birthright for food, if it was garri he would not have waited for any soup because garri can stand on it's own. 

Garri works with everything like grandnuts, milk, sugar, fish, soup, drink, suya, coconut, and so on. It's never complains. 

Rice is for party. Garri is for salvation. Rice is occasionally, Garri is dependable. 

Let me explain the meaning of garri.

G-giver of energy

A-attitude changer

R-reassurance of hope

R-reducial of the thirsty

I-increasial of achievement

Garri have different types of name. Students power, time supporter, hunger destr0yer. 

Garri is faithful in all seasons. 

My opponent said nobody serves garri in party. That is because garri is not a party guest. Garri is a family. 

In conclusion, rice may shine at party but garri shines everyday. Garri never fails. I strongly support the motion that garri in better than rice🫢
