Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent days. The Red Devils are on the lookout for a new manager after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earlier this week, and are apparently courting the Argentine.

Michael Owen, a former Liverpool striker, has urged Mauricio Pochettino to leave PSG and join Manchester United. The player power at the Parc des Princes, according to the Englishman, is a good incentive for the tactician to switch to Old Trafford. "He can't afford to leave Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, or Lionel Messi out. Of sure, they are capable, but if they continue to play like this, they will not win the Champions League "According to a report, Owen said.

Mauricio Pochettino could accomplish more with Manchester United than PSG, according to the former Liverpool attacker, given the freedom he'd have to raise his team.

He went on to say: "Poch, I believe, can accomplish more with Manchester United than he can with PSG. PSG's team chooses themselves, but can you mould them into a winning team? I'm not certain. With Manchester United, I believe you can."

Manchester United could have hired Mauricio Pochettino on a free transfer a few months ago, but they passed on the opportunity, allowing PSG to sign him. The Red Devils, according to Michael Owen, made a poor judgement. "Poch is an intriguing character. Manchester United could have had him for free a few months ago, but now they'll have to pay a fortune to get him out of PSG, and nothing has changed at United. I mean, I'm not sure I could do it just on principle "Added the former Liverpool striker.

What the rumors say about Manchester United's interest in Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino is Manchester United's first choice for the position of manager, according to various sources. The Red Devils are thought to be confident in their ability to wrest him from the Parc des Princes and are willing to shoulder the financial burden.

The manager is rumoured to be interested in returning to the Premier League and taking over at Old Trafford. However, out of respect for his current club, he is giving little to nothing away on the matter. What happens in the following weeks remains to be seen.
