The Parliament of Ghana has rejected the 2022 budget presented to the house by the Finance Minister, Hon. Ken Ofori-Attah, for approval.
The Majority have walked out of parliament following a disagreement with the Speaker, Alban Bagbin.
The majority wanted the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, to leave after his presence was detected.
However, Asiedu Nketia refused and they walked out angrily.
In their absence, 137 members of Parliament on the ticket of the NDC disapproved of the budget.
The Speaker of Parliament ruled that the budget has been disapproved.
The proceedings, however, have been adjourned to Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
