Parliament has rejected the 2022 national budget statement and economic policy statement presented to the house by finance minister Ken Ofori Atta.

The majority group in Parliament staged a walkout but that did not prevent the house from continuing with the business of the day. Parliament was to conclude the debate on the 2022 budget statement and approve the policy document today, Friday November 26, 2021. The finance minister later requested to meet with the leadership of the house but it was turned down by the MPs.
