John Agyekum Kufuor, Ghana's former president and a former student of Prempeh College, has reacted to his alma mater's colorful triumph.
Minutes after Prempeh College won the razor-thin competition, the former president took to Twitter to thank the promising young men who had flown the flag of his alma mater.
The happy ex-president penned the following:
“Congratulations! Prempeh College is a community college located in Prempeh, Your perseverance and hard work have paid off. I'm really proud of you. #NSMQFinals“
Prempeh College won with a total of 53 points after an exciting final at the KNUST, defeating Presbyterian Boys in second place with 49 points and Keta Senior High School in third place with 30 points.
SHS, which is headquartered in the Ashanti Region, has won the NMSQ competition five times: in 1994, 1996, 2015, 2017, and 2021.
