Stonebwoy, a Ghanaian reggae-dancehall performer, appears to have indirectly criticized Rocky Dawuni for his recent statement about the requirements for becoming a Grammy nominee.

The dancehall performer used Snapchat to send a cryptic message to his colleague, Rocky, expressing his dissatisfaction with his remark on who qualifies for a Grammy nomination.

Rocky Dawuni, a veteran dancehall musician, previously stated in an interview that there is a distinction between being featured on a nominated record and having your project recognized.

"You contributed to the song, but you are not a nominee," he says. It's just that I'm not the one saying it. You should check out the Academy's website to discover who is nominated.

"I believe that at times...

It's a huge accomplishment to be featured on an album. It's fantastic, but we must equally acknowledge what isn't... We can't make our own rules here and then follow them."

This explanation didn't sit well with Stonebwoy, who began praising him on social media for being automatically nominated because he was featured on a nominated album.

However, Stonebwoy's Snapchat post has gotten a lot of attention since many people believe he's mocking Rocky Dawuni's answer.

"Chairman is so eager to take credit away from a youngster!" Stonebwoy wrote. We're familiar with them, oo. But we believe that they will never change, o chai."
