The Ballon d'Or was held on the 29th of November 2021 at Théâtre du Châtelet and had sponsors including L'EQUIPE,Purnell, Patrick Group and France Football.
The awards were of six sections which included the men's and women's best footballer awards, the kopa trophy, the yachine trophy and two newly introduced awards which were the best striker of the year award and the best club of the year award.
