Atwima Koforidua, in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region, a woman in her early 30s was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend.

Juliana Kyerewaa Darko, a Kumasi Adum bread seller, is believed to have died on November 25, 2021. Her body, however, was discovered in a stage of decay on Saturday, November 27, 2021. Mr Samuel Adu, the deceased's landlord, told OTEC News' Kwame Agyenim Boateng that the deceased's lifeless body was discovered in her chamber three days after her boyfriend who had previously visited her departed the complex.

He went on to say that the suspect, who was a regular visitor to the dead, had been with her for roughly three days before his renter died. "He came to see her and spent time with her as usual, so we had no suspicions."

"I saw the man leave our property early Thursday morning but had no idea anything horrible had happened to our tenant," he explained. Mr Samuel added that after not seeing the deceased in the house for around three days and having no idea where she was, neighbors decided to examine her room, which was initially sealed from the outside.

Residents were further driven because they noticed a foul odor rising from the deceased's chamber early that morning, which they initially mistook for that of a dead mouse.

According to him, police officers were dispatched to the scene right away to assess the situation.

The police forced the door open, only to learn that the woman had died a long time ago.

Blood traces were found on her bed, and one of her hands was twisted, indicating a struggle between the victim and her perpetrator, he said.

The body was taken to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for additional examination.
