Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Ben Chilwell, Mateo Kovacic, and N'Golo Kante will all miss tomorrow's trip to Watford, while late decisions on a further trio of players will be made before kick-off.

Chilwell, Kovacic, and Kante all missed Sunday's draw with Manchester United and will be unavailable for Wednesday's Premier League clash at Vicarage Road, while our head coach also revealed at his pre-match press conference that Reece James, Jorginho, and Timo Werner are all questionable.

Romelu Lukaku is fit to return to the squad after returning from injury as a late substitute against his former club on Sunday, with Tuchel confirming that the Belgian has continued to train normally.

'Romelu is pretty simple,' Tuchel said at the start of his press conference. 'He came on in the last game and has continued to train with the team.' He is ready to move forward in minutes, and this is where he is right now.' We will definitely be without Chilly, Kova, and N'Golo for tomorrow's game at Watford, and we have some doubts about some other players who need a bit more time to be examined before deciding whether they can play.

Kante will be unable to make the trip to Vicarage Road.

'We'll have to wait and see about Reece James, Jorginho, and Timo Werner.' They all finished training with us today, but there will undoubtedly be some last-minute decisions made on those players.'

With the Blues facing a busy period leading up to Christmas, Tuchel was asked how he will manage the load on his players and whether we can expect some squad rotation in the coming weeks.

'It will be difficult, but it has always been difficult,' Thomas added. 'We're not going to change our routine.' 'The boss has stated that he will look to rotate where necessary.' We have good communication with the medical and fitness departments, and we tried to predict the load by looking at who is overloaded and underloaded, and then determining what we will need in the next game.' We, as you know, take it one step at a time. If you look too far ahead, you will notice that there are some difficult weeks ahead. That is why we concentrate on the details, the next game, or possibly the next two games where we can rely on our predictions because we have fantastic support from everybody.
