An Accra High Court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryetey has dismissed an appeal filed by the lawyers of Ghanaian socialite, Rosemond Brown known as Akuapem Poloo to quash a decision of the Circuit Court.
Earlier this year, an Accra Circuit Court handed a 90-day jail term to Rosemond Brown for displaying nude pictures of herself and son in a birthday message that went viral.
Ms. Brown's lawyers in an attempt to get the decision of the Circuit Court quashed, filed an appeal for a reduction jail term or other very less harsh judgement.
After months of court proceedings, the High Court has dismissed the appeal and has ordered the famous socialite to continue her 90-day jail term with hard labor at the Nsawam Prisons.
Ms. Poloo has since apologized for publishing nude pictures of herself and her son.
