Following the uproar in the House of Parliament on the approval of the 2022 government's budget statement and economic policy on Wednesday, December 1, the house is reportedly taking steps to build a consensus.
According to reports, the two causes, the majority, and the minority are currently having separate caucus meetings.
The NPP caucus finds it difficult to accept a proposal made by the NDC. The NDC wants the e-levy to be reduced to one percent and the threshold be brought to Ghc 300.
The Parliamentary correspondent for JoyNews reported that the house will sit today, Thursday, December 1 and it is likely to be presided over by the Second Deputy Speaker, Hon. Andrews Asiamah Amoako.
He added that the sitting will be short as it will be adjourned to next week to enable the two causes to arrive at a unanimous decision.
