The Accra High Court presided over by Justice John Eugene Nyandu, has slapped Mona Guggi with a lawsuit of Ghc 500,000.00 for dragging the dignity of Yvonne Nelson to the mud.
Mona Guggi is instructed by the court to pay Yvonne a sum of Ghc 500,000 within eight days.
Yvonne Nelson filed a defamation case in 2020 against Mona Gucci for making derogatory comments about her on Neat FM.
Mona, while mentioning the names of Ghanaian ladies who were "slay queens," mentioned Yvonne's name as well.
"Slay queen" is an euphemism used to describe ladies who earn a living from prostitution.
"Yvonne doesn't show off but she is a slay queen," Mona said.
However, when Yvonne's counsel, in a letter advised her to withdraw her comment or risk being sued, she replied harshly.
"Yvonne Nelson says she's suing me in court. Someone should tell her I said she should fuck off...," she said.
However, after numerous court proceedings, Yvonne eventually emerged as the winner.
She won a lawsuit of Ghc 500,000.00.
