Ralf Rangnick is keeping an eye on Timo Werner as Chelsea and Juventus are linked with Italian stars.
Ralf Rangnick, Manchester United's new interim manager, is ready to hand out a 'get out of jail free card' to a Chelsea star who has struggled for the Blues.
Chelsea has been keeping an eye on Juventus star Federico Chiesa, despite the Italian giants' poor start.
Finally, according to reports, Juventus has expressed interest in Jorginho. The midfielder was voted third in the Ballon d'Or awards earlier this week, so this comes as no surprise.
Rangnick is interested in Chelsea's ace.
Timo Werner is said to be on Manchester United's radar following the appointment of Ralf Rangnick, as the interim manager's former players continue to be linked with moves to Old Trafford.
RB Leipzig signed Werner from Stuttgart while Rangnick was sporting director, and the 68-year-old then took over as manager after the striker scored 19 goals in 37 games in the 2018-19 season.
According to Christian Falk of BILD, Rangnick is eager to give his former player a second chance.
Rangnick believes Werner will improve despite his struggles at Stamford Bridge, according to the report.
Werner has struggled in the last 18 months, and his miss against Manchester United is still fresh in my mind. This calendar year, the German forward has three league goals. If Rangnick wants the player and we can get a fair price for him, I wouldn't be opposed to a move, even to a Premier League rival.
Chelsea eye Serie A star
Federico Chiesa, an Italian international, has been heavily linked with Chelsea.
The club is currently struggling in seventh place in Serie A, twelve points behind league leaders Napoli. It has been reported that the club may look to sell if they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.
It has been reported that a move to the Premier League is appealing to him, and that Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of the 24-year-old.
I like Chiesa as a player, but the club currently has too many attacking players for this move to happen anytime soon. I'm all for this transfer if the club can make room for him by selling some attacking assets. Tuchel's success with the club over the last 11 months could be the deciding factor in this deal.
Jorginho is on his way to Italy.
Juventus reportedly contacted Jorginho's representatives to inquire about a possible return to Italy.
It has been reported that the Italian club has contacted his agent to inform them that they are interested in signing the midfielder should he decide to leave Stamford Bridge.
The 29-year-old midfielder has just over 18 months left on his Chelsea contract, which could be a source of concern for the club in the coming months.
Jorginho finished third in the Ballon d'Or this week, and his absence from the Watford game yesterday highlighted how much we miss him when he isn't playing. His agent has flirted with the idea of returning to Italy several times in the last few years, so it's something he's open to.
Keep him if he wants to sign a new contract. If a new contract isn't agreed upon by the end of the season, it might be a better time to cash in with him turning 30 this month rather than having another Antonio Rudiger/Andreas Christensen situation.
