Jadon Sancho, a Manchester United winger, has admitted that he is curious to observe how Cristiano Ronaldo works behind closed doors. Sancho hopes to pick up some tips from CR7 in order to better his own game. The former Borussia Dortmund player is enamoured with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner and wants access to his private training sessions.
In the summer of 2021, Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford. During his first time at Manchester United, the 36-year-old had six spectacular seasons, earning his first Ballon d'Or as well as the 2007-08 UEFA Champions League. The celebrity has returned to the Theatre of Dreams to relive his golden days, but there have been some bumps in the road. In his last eight Premier League appearances, Ronaldo has only scored once, and he was humiliated 5-0 by Liverpool in October. In addition, he came in sixth place in the 2021 Ballon d'Or standings.
Cristiano Ronaldo's situation may not be ideal right now, but that hasn't stopped Sancho from swooning over him.
Working alongside Ronaldo is surreal, according to the young English winger. The Englishman also wants to learn more about Cristiano Ronaldo's off-the-field activities and, if feasible, obtain a few signed shirts.
"When I first saw that [he was joining], I thought 'wow that's ridiculous,'" Sancho remarked in an interview with England's YouTube channel. Obviously, watching him and what he's done during his career, and being able to assist him and work with him - it's fantastic."
Sancho continued: "But one thing I'm interested in seeing is how he works behind closed doors, as a young player like myself would benefit from learning how to rise to the top and elevate. I'm also going to purchase a few signed tees to frame."
This season, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho have played together on a few occasions. In late November, the two attackers scored in Manchester United's Champions League group stage triumph over Villarreal.
Manchester United is allegedly interested in signing Erling Haaland at the end of the season. Interim manager Ralf Rangnick is expected to play a crucial part in the negotiations, and a successful move could result in a sizable payment for him. Manchester United would be hesitant to extend Cristiano Ronaldo's contract, which will expire next year when he turns 37.
This season, Cristiano Ronaldo has appeared in 15 games for Manchester United, scoring ten goals in the process.
