THOMAS TUCHEL uncovered striving Saul Niguez has been utilized as a wing-back in Chelsea training.
The ATM midfielder who joined Chelsea from ATM on loan has been having problems playing in the premier league.
He has been given many chance to prove he can fit into the squad but it seems there are no improvements.
Chelsea who are in injury crises are without their in form left back Ben Chiwell. Marcos Alonso replaced Ben Chiwell last time Chelsea played Watford but his performance was very poor.
However, with Ben Chilwell, 24, out harmed and Marcos Alonso, 30, Chelsea's just other perceived wing-back, Tuchel said the Spaniard has been tried in defense.
He said: "I think he could play in a wing-back role.
"We now and then do this in training , that is the reason we have the impression he could be a solid match. Possibly in the following games, we need to attempt it."
Niguez, has played on the left half of midfield previously, however never in the backline.
He was subbed off for Thiago Silva, at Vicarage Road with center back Trevoh Chalobah, moved to midfield as Chelsea ultimately won 2-1.
