All the latest from Manchester United's Carrington training complex ahead of Sunday's match at Old Trafford against Crystal Palace.
Manchester United will look to get off to a winning start under new interim manager Ralf Rangnick when he takes charge for the first time against Crystal Palace on Sunday at Old Trafford.
United, who returned to winning ways with a thrilling 3-2 win over Arsenal on Thursday evening, appointed the experienced German coach on a six-month contract on Monday, following the recent departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Rangnick was forced to take up a watching brief against Arsenal due to a delay in his work visa being finalized, watching the action unfold alongside John Murtough from the directors' box before being officially unveiled to the media at an Old Trafford press conference on Friday morning.
Rangnick took his first training session at Carrington following his first meeting with the local and national media, as he began to make plans for Sunday's clash with Palace.
But what happened during the German's first training session as interim manager of Manchester United? MEN Sport has compiled a list of four things we noticed during Friday's session.
Rangnick effectively communicates his ideas.
If you ask any football manager in the world what the most important aspect of a first training session at a new club is, they will almost always give the same answer.
Rangnick's first task was to get to know his teammates and instill his ideas in them. The German has been seen deep in conversation with many of his players, including Mason Greenwood and Nemanja Matic, and has been seen giving instructions to them.
Rangnick will be looking to improve his knowledge of his players with each passing day, so there was no better time to begin than on his first day on the job.
Rangnick has not shied away from giving youngsters the chance to prove their worth in an attempt to impress the match-goers on a Saturday afternoon throughout his extensive and lengthy managerial career.
While the German has a plethora of big-name, experienced superstars to work with, he also has a plethora of young and exciting prospects working their way up the career ladders.
United have a plethora of young players vying for a place at Old Trafford, and two of them, Teden Mengi and Amad, were spotted in training on Friday.
Mengi, despite appearing in pre-season, has yet to make a senior appearance this season, while Amad has been working his way back to full fitness in recent weeks following an injury.
They may now fancy their chances of getting some first-team minutes under their belts as a result of Rangnick's arrival and his track record with young players.
