Thomas Tuchel was quick to insist that focusing on small details could solve our problems and that the big picture should not be questioned after his Chelsea side lost a Premier League game for only the fifth time under his stewardship.
Following a 3-2 defeat at West Ham on Saturday lunchtime, the Blues have now won two of their last five league games and dropped to third in the table behind Manchester City and Liverpool. However, with a busy fixture schedule ahead, including the traditionally hectic holiday season, time may be limited to find solutions to some of the team's nagging issues.
We travel to Russia this week for the final Champions League group game in St Petersburg before hosting Leeds United the following weekend, with our next midweek off not until the new year. Tuchel, on the other hand, believes he knows what is needed to provide a quick fix.
'Details,' said the boss, 'and you can always solve the description.' 'There is no need to question the big picture or have major reservations.' It's obvious, in my opinion, why we didn't get the results we wanted against Manchester United and West Ham, so it's all about the details. That's why I believe we can resolve it right away.

Nobody wants to make mistakes, but simply saying "hey, don't make mistakes anymore" will not help. We must go through it, and we must improve our decision-making in crucial moments of matches in order to keep clean sheets or concede only one goal.'
