I never sleep because I'm afraid the small old hut built with sweat dripping down my grandparents face would be burnt down before the day break,
I never sleep because I'm afraid my mom would wake up screaming and crying in the midst of flaming fire in the cold breezy night,
I never sleep because I'm afraid I might see father's blood running through my feet like the river Jordan from the east,
I never sleep because I'm afraid my little brother might be taken away by armed terrorist when I try to give my tired eyes a rest, I never sleep because I'm afraid my sister might be raped right in front of me whenever I give in to nature in the darkness,
I never sleep because I'm afraid the country fate gave me might in return, give me the opposite of my long term dreams, I never sleep because I'm afraid my life might be wasted like an antelope when it sees a Lion in the dry desert,
I never sleep because I'm afraid a place I call a home will one-day turn to a den of lion. This is my country, a place I call home.
