Jurgen Klopp has been accused of pretending to admire Divock Origi.
On Saturday, the Belgian international was Liverpool's hero, as Klopp's team came from behind to defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
Origi came off the bench to score the game-winning goal for Liverpool, and the German lavished praise on him afterward.
Indeed, the manager referred to the 26-year-old as a "legend" of the Anfield club.
Klopp, on the other hand, has only given the former Lille attacker two Premier League starts since the start of last season.
And Alex Teklak, a Belgian pundit, believes Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is being overly effusive in his praise for the player.
"Klopp manages to entertain this 'I need you' notion [with Origi]," he told DH. He adopts him as a mascot, a symbol, and his favorite. Is he being dramatic? Yes, it's a ruse, and it's a big one, because you get the impression he's not a priority."
Origi, without a doubt, is not on track to become a "priority" player for Liverpool under Klopp.
Because, let's face it, Origi isn't going to be competing for starting spots with Roberto Firmino or Diogo Jota for Liverpool anytime soon.
Teklak, on the other hand, neglected to mention that the Reds' manager had brought up the subject earlier in the interview.
"It's difficult to get 500 minutes a week in this team because of the players we have," he explained. But Divock Origi is a fantastic footballer."
And, it goes without saying, Klopp's summary is excellent.
Klopp's feelings for Origi aren't fabricated.
Simply put, Liverpool's manager has better players. Klopp's summary is excellent, it must be said.
