Real Madrid are said to be in a bidding war with Manchester United and Barcelona for RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo. Thanks to his performances for Leipzig and the Spanish national team, the kid has earned the attention of a number of Europe's elite teams.

Real Madrid has joined Manchester United and Barcelona in the race to recruit Dani Olmo during the January transfer window, according to El Nacional. This season, Los Blancos have relied primarily on the goal-scoring powers of Vinicius Jr. and Karim Benzema. By adding Dani Olmo, they want to inject some much-needed creativity into their group.

Olmo played for Barcelona's La Masia academy for seven years before joining Dinamo Zagreb's junior system in 2014. He debuted for Dinamo Zagreb in the 2014-15 season and went on to become a regular starter for the team in the 2016-17 season. Olmo was linked with a number of Europe's best clubs before signing a four-year contract with German powerhouse RB Leipzig in January 2020. Last season, he scored seven goals in 46 appearances for RB Leipzig in all competitions.

Olmo was named to Luis Enrique's Spain squad for Euro 2020 as a result of his regular performances. During the competition, the 23-year-old provided three assists and helped Spain reach the semi-finals. Olmo also helped La Roja reach the UEFA Nations League finals in 2020-21.

Real Madrid is preparing for the possible departures of Isco and Gareth Bale next summer. The contracts of both players with Los Blancos are slated to expire at the end of the current season. Olmo is the best substitute for the leaving combo because of his speed, technical abilities, and versatility. Real Madrid will almost certainly face heavy competition from Barcelona and Manchester United for Dani Olmo's signature. The Blaugrana are anxious to add a forward to their offensive options during the January transfer window.

Barcelona is now dealing with an attack injury issue, with Ansu Fati, Martin Braithwaite, and Sergio Aguero among those who have been ruled out. The Catalan giants, on the other hand, could prefer to recruit a striker over a winger or an offensive midfielder like Olmo.

Manchester United, on the other hand, is preparing for the possibility of Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba leaving the club. The contracts of Pogba and Lingard with Manchester United are set to expire at the conclusion of the season. The pair have so far turned down the opportunity to sign a new deal with the club. Manchester United will consequently attempt to replace the duo with suitable successors. Olmo, who is familiar with German football, might easily fit into interim manager Ralf Rangnick's new system.
