Mr. Kissi Agyebeng, 2nd occupant of the Office of the Special Prosecutor created by the governing New Patriotic Party has hinted that his outfit will start biting corrupt officials as his office is mandated by the laws of Ghana to do.
Addressing a forum to mark International anti-corruption day and week on Thursday, Mr. Agyebeng indicated that he met an unorganized office and it was incumbent on him to put measures in place to ensure a smooth running of the office.
Mr. Agyebeng was sworn into office this year after the resignation of his predecessor, Mr. Martin Amidu.
He added his office is currently not pursuing any matter in court after his outfit discontinued the case against Mahama Ayariga.
"Any presiding officer or electoral officer who is minded to alter results or to wilfully misstate the results, we will come and pick them and prosecute them", he said
Again, Mr. Agyebeng revealed his office is investigating 31 cases of varied backgrounds and will prosecute the ones with merits.
He called for a change in attitude and support for his officers to minimize corruption in public and private service.
