Arsenal executives will travel to Italy to negotiate the transfer of an attacker.

Arsenal's interest in signing Juventus attacking midfielder Dejan Kulusevski in a potential transfer deal has reportedly increased.

Despite appearing to be one of Europe's most exciting young players while at Parma, the Sweden international has failed to live up to expectations in Turin.

Arsenal officials are preparing to fly to Italy to finalize the deal, according to La Repubblica.

If the Gunners are successful in bringing Kulusevski in, it could be a wise decision on their part, as Mikel Arteta appears to be in desperate need of more spark and creativity in his side.

Martin Odegaard joined in the summer but has yet to make an impact, while Nicolas Pepe has fallen out of favor after a string of poor results.

Arsenal will be overly reliant on young players like Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe as a result, with Arteta undoubtedly needing more options to rotate in that area of the pitch.

According to reports, 'Arteta wants Kulusevski,' and the north Londoners are willing to spend '€30m + €5m in bonuses.'

Juve, on the other hand, wants at least €40 million, and the player himself may be unwilling to'marry a project that is currently not very ambitious,' referring to Arsenal.

Following disappointing results against Manchester United and Everton, Arteta's team has hit a snag.

From September to November, they went 11 games unbeaten before losing 4-0 to Liverpool at Anfield.

Kulusevski is going through a difficult period in his career, but the 21-year-old still has time to turn things around and could be an excellent addition to Arteta's squad if the Spanish tactician can get him firing again.
