Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion has been postponed, which has enraged some Arsenal fans.

Up to 20 first-team players, coaching staff, and Under-23 players have tested positive for COVID at Tottenham's Hotspur Way training facility.

Spurs' Europa Conference League match against Rennes was canceled by UEFA on Wednesday, and now Sunday's Premier League match at the Amex Stadium has been canceled as well.

Arsenal were defeated 2-0 by newly promoted Brentford on the first day of the Premier League season, in what remains perhaps the most surprising result of the entire campaign thus far.

However, due to a positive coronavirus test, a number of key Arsenal personnel were ruled out of the event, with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta admitting afterwards that he was surprised that the match took place.

Tottenham has requested that the match against the Seagulls be canceled, according to Sky Sports News.

In Tottenham's defense, this appears to be a much larger outbreak than the one that Arsenal experienced in August.

Although it is unknown how many of Antonio Conte's first-team players tested positive – and which players – both games were postponed by UEFA and the Premier League.

As a result, this virus must have had a significant impact on Tottenham's senior squad, whereas Arteta was only missing four players against the Bees earlier this season – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Willian, and back-up goalkeeper Alex Runarsson.
