The National Communications Director of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) said he, together with other legal practitioners will sue government over the mandatory vaccination directive.
In an interview with TV 3, Sammy Gyamfi said the compulsory vaccination directive by the Ministry of Health is not backed by any law and that it is unconstitutional.
He said Ghanaians should be given the free will to decide whether to vaccinate or not instead of being forced by government to submit to the directive.
According to him, countries such as South Africa and Brazil that have recorded more cases of the Covid-19 virus than Ghana have not even made the vaccination exercise compulsory for their citizens.
"South Africa has recorded more Covid cases than Ghana and Covid deaths. Their President has said that nobody will be forced to take the vaccines," he said.
He vowed to challenge the directive in the Supreme Court together with other professional lawyers.
