Minority Pioneer, Haruna Iddrisu has charged the primary Delegate Speaker, Joseph Osei-Owusu of acting in contravention of article 296 of the 1992 Structure.
The allegation is in connection to Joseph Osei-Owusu’s refusal to confess a movement by the Minority in Parliament to switch the endorsement of the 2022 Budget.
In a letter dated December 13 and tended to to the primary Appointee Speaker, Haruna Iddrisu said the Bekwai MP’s reliance on Standing Arrange 13(2) to quash the movement by the Minority is ‘misconceived and smacks of an mishandle of discretionary control’.
Agreeing to the letter located by myjoyonline.com, the Minority Meeting in Parliament reported its deliberate “to seek after the matter assist with the correct Respectable Speaker upon his returnâ€. The letter included that the choice by the primary Appointee Speaker is an insult to standing orders of the House.
“Merciful take note that the NDC Minority Meeting, which I lead and my great self, fervently oppose this idea together with your position on the movement and your conduct in this matter.
