A Ghanaian woman says she wants the 2021 Christmas postponed because economic activities are so far not moving on smoothly for her and many other traders.

She said, although there are in December, goods are not patronized by the masses like before.

Speaking to a Citi News reporter, she said there is more money in the country, and the government is withholding it yet survival is tough for them.

She calls on government to release the money to make life comfortable for them.

"Nothing is moving on. Nothing. So we beg the president, he should release the money," she said.

According to her, there are in the Christmas season but business is not booming. Hence, making the festivity unenjoyable.

When asked by the reporter how she wants government to release the money she talks about, she explains that if government pays public officials, there will be enough money for workers to patronize goods at the market for traders to also earn money to make the festivity enjoyable.

She complains about being constantly sacked by the police because they trade at an unauthorized place.
