Northern Regional Minister, Shani Alhassan Shaibu, denies claims of hardship in the country as he said Ghanaians who lament over hardship are only living above their means.
Speaking on Sagani Tv in an interview, the Northern Regional Minister said claims of hardship in the country do not correlate with government's incompetence.
According to him, complaining Ghanaians are only living largely above their means and that there is nothing like economic hardship in Ghana.
When the host attempted bringing the Minister's awareness to the difficulties in the country as a result of inflation and high cost of living, Shani refuted that.
“Really, are you sure? I don’t see that. What I see is that people are trying to adjust themselves to lives that they use not to live,” he said.
According to him, a drive through town will indicate that everything is moving on smoothly considering the luxurious cars, houses, and dresses Ghanaians patronize.
He said the hardship only comes when people quest to live a lifestyle they can't afford.
