Kumawood actress and movie producer, Matilda Asare has expressed disappointment in the ruling New Patriotic Party. 

The beautiful actress who is a staunch member of the governing party in a Facebook post shared her disappointment with the current regime by posting "I regret voting for NPP" 

Matilda Asare was part of an advocacy group calling itself creatives for change which campaigned for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his party in 2016 and 2020. Other actors in the creative space such as Agya Koo, Prince Osei, and others mounted  campaign platforms to sell the message of the NPP in the last two elections. 

Many Ghanaians have expressed disapointment in the current government after a year into the second term of the Akufo-Addo presidency. 

Igniting the disapointment is the introduction of new taxes and a hike in government's fees and charges to be implemented in 2022. 

The actress named her son after the President.
