Nearly 50 students of the Abuakwa State College (ABUSCO) have been indefinitely suspended over various acts of gangsterism which contravene the school's policies.
The victims were said to have allegedly formed a gang known as "Above the law" (ABL).
The students, who are in their second have been asked by the school's management to go on an indefinite suspension.
A letter issued to the parents of the victims by the headmaster, Hanson Adjei Sarpong, stated, “your ward has been suspended indefinitely from the school with immediate effect."
The letter alleged that the students formed unapproved groups under which they held gang meetings leading to various disturbances on campus.
The letter also said the suspended students possessed deadly weapons and have continuously violated the school's code of discipline.
The suspension, according to the headmaster, is meant to serve as a warning to the student populace against taking the school's rules into their own hands.
The Senior House Master was charged to sack the victims from the school's premises.
Meanwhile, parents and caretakers of the victims have also been urged in the letter to counsel their wards until the school arrives at a decision.
