Parliament in the past few months have been very tensed with stories making headlines on a daily basis. The structure of the current 8th Parliament gives room for the minority to demand due diligence from the executive.
The 32nd meeting of the 3rd session of the 8th Parliament today began proceedings with the National Security minister responding to the call to answer questions related to the travel expenses of the President filed by Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu.
Again, estimates for the 2022 financial year certain ministries, departments and agencies were approved after weeks of fierce misunderstanding on the 2022 budget.
In a facebook post, the deputy Ashanti regional youth organizer of the NDC expressed worry over the debate on Ghana purchasing a jet from Czech republic for the Ghana Armed Forces.
"Watching proceedings in Parliament over the purchase of an Aircraft from Czech republic for the Ghana Armed Forces. I am extremely sad for the minority NDC. How sorrowful to see the minority side turn the debate against themselves. This must be something spiritual", he posted
