Arsenal will win 2-1 against Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, according to Mark Lawrenson.

Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe scored for Arsenal in a 2-0 triumph over 10-man West Ham United at The Emirates on Wednesday night.

After a 3-0 win over Southampton and a 2-0 win over West Ham, Arsenal has won back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since early November.

Mikel Arteta's team will face a Leeds side that lost 7-0 to Manchester City on Tuesday night at the Etihad Stadium, leaving Marcelo Bielsa's side in 16th place and five points above the relegation zone.

Leeds have won only one of their previous six Premier League games, putting them on the verge of being drawn into a relegation struggle this season.

"After being thrashed by Manchester City on Tuesday, Leeds will be feeling depressed, and injuries have taken their toll on Marcelo Bielsa's side," Lawrenson told BBC Sport.

"So, despite Arsenal's recent poor away form, I think they'll come away with something at Elland Road."

"The Gunners still need to improve their consistency on the road, but fourth place is about as good as they can hope for."

"Mikel’s team doesn't always play well, but they're no longer a pushover, which is a promising indication."

Leeds United have failed to overcome Arsenal in their past ten attempts in all competitions, dating back to a 3-2 triumph over Arsene Wenger's side in May 2003.

Under Arteta, Arsenal has won nine of their 19 Premier League away games in 2021, although they have lost their past three top-flight away games.

Prior to Arsenal's trip to Leeds this weekend, Arteta praised summer addition Martin.

Arteta told BBC Sport, "He is a natural leader." "If you're looking for the perfect professional, he's not far off."

On Boxing Day, Arsenal will play Norwich City in the Premier League.
