There are many instances where people have been complaining about being interested in having sex often. To such individuals, they're of the view that they have they have a very high sex drive. This article is basically going to enlighten you on the effects of having 'too much' sex.

One would ask if there's anything wrong with having sex often. The answer is No. There's no scientific evidence that shows that having sex every day is bad for your physical or mental health. There's also no evidence for any “optimal” or “perfect” frequency for healthy sex life. With this said, having sex very often — for example, several times per day — may lead to certain physical issues.

Having too much sex could also cause irritation, chafing, or rashes on the external skin around the vulva, and your labia could become engorged and swollen. Another unpleasant, possible side effect of too much sex is an increase in the risk of bladder and vaginal infections. All though the whole sex exercise is one with pleasure, it could literally cause certain physical problems.

Having too much sex could also cause dehydration. Scientists have proven that too much sex ( 5 to 10 times a week) could make you become dehydrated – this means that your body loses so much vital water that could end up making you look pale. This is especially so if you have been taking alcohol before or while the sex. Though harmless, this is the most common effect of too much sex.

Sexual intercourse increases the levels of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. This hormone, in turn, leads to hair loss as DHT is known to kill hair follicles and cause male pattern baldness. So those of us males having issues with baldness, we may want to go back and check our sex history.

The last and most scary effect of having too much sex is that you could be on your way to suffering from a heart attack. While sex can be good for your heart as it is a cardiovascular activity like some others, you should do it with cautions if you have a history of heart problems as constant palpitations and gasps for breath (considering the roughness of sexual activity) could land you on the hospital stretcher.
