Many couldn't hold their tears upon seeing pictures of the sad moment a murdered Police Officer, Constable Ahmed Sulley, was laid to rest.
Death indeed is inevitable and can visit anyone at anyone. No one envisioned this tragic phenomenon. No one knew the late Constable wouldn't live long to put a smile on his parents' faces and to serve his motherland.
The late General Constable Adams Sulley was laid to rest on Saturday, December 18, 20201 in accordance with Islamic funeral rites after he was brutally murdered with his colleague while on patrols by robbers in Zuarungu in the Upper East region on Wednesday, December 15.
Sulley's funeral ceremony was held at the Transitions Funeral Home in Haatso, Accra and his remains were later conveyed to the Awudome cemetery for burials.
The National Police Chief Imam, Superintendent Alhaji Hussein Abdur Rahim Hussein, led the congregation in the 'janaaza' prayers for the ex-police officer.
The Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Akuffo Dampare, members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), and Senior Police Officers were at the funeral scene to pay their last respect to the deceased and to commiserate with the deceased's family.
The IGP reiterated that the Ghana Police Service will strive assiduously to arrest the criminals who truncated the lives of the two constables and bring them to book.
The deceased was finally buried at the Awudome Cemetery with full police honours after the Islamic rites.
