The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo in the Ashanti Region Vincent Ekow Assafuah, said he witnessed the Sports Minister, Mustpha Ussif's face cut with blade by one National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP.
According to him, he together with some MPs rushed the Sports Minister for medical service following the chaotic development on Monday night at the Chamber.
He however alleged on a Kumasi-based radio, Pure FM, that Teddy Safori Addi, MP for Ayensuano and Hon. Amo were the culprits.
“An NDC MP used razor blade to harm the face of Hon. Mustapha Ussif. I was with him and we took him to the Parliamentary hospital. I suspect two MPs, Hon. Teddy Safori Addi and one Hon. Amo," he said.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Akyem Swedru, Kennedy Osei Nyarko, has urged the police to pursue the culprit and bring him to book.
The MP wants the culprit to be apprehended in order to deter others.
