A young female soldier who accepted a marriage proposal from a National Service Corp while on duty in Nigeria has been arrested by the military.

The young military soldier whose name still remains unknown, was seen in a viral video in military uniform accepting a marriage proposal from her lover.

She received a ring from her lover and even went ahead to plant a kiss on his lips while she was in her uniform.

A spokesperson for the military, Onyeme Nwachukwu, said the act was against military protocols.

He said it is against the military rules to do that while one is clad in the military uniform.
