A 5-page letter of the New Patriotic Party's council of elders meeting have leaked online.
The letter is a verdict or conclusion of a crunch meeting by the Bono Regional council of elders of the ruling New Patriotic Party in relation to the suspension of an executive of the party.
According to the 5-page letter, the disciplinary actions brought against the communications officer of the Sunyani East constituency has been reversed.
It will be recalled that some aggrieved executives of the Sunyani East constituency petitioned the regional disciplinary committee over some anti-party behavior exhibited by Mr. Maxwell Mahama.
He was suspended for bringing the name of the elephant party into disrepute. Mr. Mahama in response, challenged the decision in court but later withdrew.
The council of elders have directed that Mr. Mahama be reinstated and allowed to discharge his duties as the constituency communications officer of the party.
