There has been a firebreak out at the Achimota Retail Mall leading to the injury of a couple of folks who were shopping.
The incident which occurred on December 30, has led to the destruction of several properties and injuries.
It is currently unclear what actually led to the fire breakout.
According to reports, some staff of the Natural Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in response to an emergency call has arrived at the scene to control the spread of the fire.
Some shoppers and staff in the building when the fire broke out were evacuated from the building and some are receiving medical care now.
Meanwhile, an official statement on the cause of the fire and casualties caused has not yet been issued.
