On January 2, 2019, some aggrieved Zongo youths stormed Owusu Bempah's church at Odorkor and destroyed properties in response to a death prophecy made by the pastor against the National Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubuutu.
The angry youths who went there by motorbikes pulled down the pastor's large billboard at the entrance of the Church.
They then made their way into the church to vandalize the church's assets.
In the video which went viral, a man is heard saying, "Owusu Bempah must apologize."
This incident happened after the founder and leader of the Glorious Word Ministry, Owusu Bempah said at his crossover watch night service that the leader of the Muslims would die in 2019.
Bempah also prophesied that the Former President, John Agyekum Kuffour, and his wife were of those who would die in 2019.
The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa-Akufo Addo, and the Vice President, Dr. Mahmud Bawumia, were also to die through poison according to Bempah.
However, Owusu Bempah claimed that all the death prophecies could be prayed over.
But the Zongo youths who were furious over Chief Imam's death prediction stormed the church of the pastor and caused vandalism.
